February Update
“I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring. Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the West and to the East and to the North and to the South, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed”Genesis 28 :13 -14
Dear Friends,
Despite the clear promise of God in Genesis 28:13-14, Jacob still makes a vow in Genesis 28:20-21. If Jacob intends to acknowledge God as "his God" only after receiving protection and a safe return, it raises the question: Who was God to Jacob up to this point? What was the nature of their relationship? It seems evident that he recognized the God of his father Isaac and his grandfather Abraham, yet he had not forged a personal connection with Him. This reminds us that we may be heirs to tremendous blessings while remaining disconnected from a genuine relationship with God. How connected are we to Him?
The Family

Here at YWAM Saint Lucia someone from the Fotso family has this to say:
"Hello, I'm Asaph, and I’ve recently become a member of the football club GMC United. Our training sessions are held on Saturdays, and I have been enjoying them. Our team triumphed in the Under-16 Golden Sports Independence Tournament. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to play in the matches since the registration took place before I joined the club. However, I was there to support my teammates during the semifinals and finals, where we achieved a stunning 5-0 victory against Monchy FC! Yes, we’re that good!
Improving my football skills, making new friends, and doing my school PE program are some of my key goals. Additionally, I’m also providing piano tutoring for our neighbor's two young sons."
As you can tell, Asaph is quite excited about this entire experience.
Friend's Visit
In January, we had the pleasure of hosting our dear friends
Elizabeth and
Lyndsay from the US, who came for a brief visit alongside
Silas, Asaph's friend. They generously brought gifts for the ministry and the kids' club from Yorktown Church, a valued partner of YWAM Saint Lucia. During their stay, they joined us in our ministry efforts and accompanied us to deliver thoughtfully prepared gifts at the children’s home.
Pat and
Robin, a couple from our valued partner network, also spent time with us, engaging in ministry at the Juvenal Centre and participated in one of the Bible Study Groups. Additionally, we welcomed
Megan from Australia, Helen and Heidi, two volunteers from Scotland and Norway, also joined us briefly to assist with the Kids' Club and in local public schools. We believe that through these short visits, God continues to show us signs of his unwavering faithfulness.
OTHER MINISTRIES
Kids Clubs and the Juvenile Centre
The Kids Club activities take place on most Saturdays, bringing together a group of children from the Transit Home and another from a community near Castries. We are eager to engage more children as additional volunteers become available. To connect with the kids, we utilize various curriculums, including that of CEF.
Our outreach efforts to the boys at the Juvenile Centre are ongoing. We are grateful for the unwavering commitment of our volunteers and for the grace that God continues to bestow upon us, enabling us to persevere.

New Paragraph
So far one of our 2024 Summer Program participants have completed the reading of the Intensive Discipleship Course that we challenged them to take from last time; it is turning out to be more complicated to follow them up than expected. The youth are more open to go for an outing than to sit to discuss the application of the course. Pray that God will continue to motivate them.
We continue to explore ways to engage more youth both in and out of schools.
This month we are resuming regular outreach to a public school.
We are praying and considering an outreach this Summer with the youth to a nearby island, pray with us for God's direction.

- The Minibus: we continue to be thankful for the convenience that it provides us for the ministry and everyday activities.
- The grace of health He continues to grant us
-The many volunteers who make themselves available to assist in whatever way possible !

The springs brought by Elisabeth made it possible for Guy to temporarily weld some of the pieces of the trampoline; we hope it can hold for a few more months

Please continue praying with us for a permanent property for the ministry. We have quite a few persons who are interested in volunteering with the ministry in 2025. At the moment we are looking for affordable facilities near the YWAM base office that can allow us to extend hospitality to volunteers while serving with us.
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Ps37:4
