Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago”. Isaiah 25:1
Yet another opportunity to count the blessings of the Lord
Between
June and
July Marylin led a church team of 10 including the pastor and his wife and other members of his congregation to Sao Paulo Brazil. It was a miracle how God provided faithfully for each person to make it there and such a great blessing for her to be able to help with translating from Portuguese to English, helping her brush up on this skill. The time in Brazil was marked with heart warming hospitality, we were challenged to see the extent of how much the churches we worked with were investing in ministry to the prostitutes, drug addicts, children living in the slums, etc.
There are many restoration houses that are helping to bring change and transformation in the lives of men and women. Just to witness and hear the stories of some of the men that are now leading these ministries was a blessing. So much brokenness in our world, Lord. It was also an opportunity to connect with fellow believers and be a source of encouragement.
This year as in the past, our Summer Missions Adventure gave the opportunity to many young people to learn and minister while having fun. With up to 44 volunteers and participants from mainly the USA (20, led by Pastor Scott from Minnesota) and from different parts of the Island of Saint Lucia.
We Praise God for His grace throughout the program despite some challenges. Some of the these included finding a location that could accommodate all the participants; constant water shortages and disruption in the rural community that we did not anticipate... The building in Richfond served us well accommodating nearly 45 persons despite some difficulties as mentioned and the leaks in some of the rooms after heavy rains.
We thank God for the graciousness of the team and for minimal complaints although not being able to take showers some of the days in the steaming summer heat and the much needed commitment of the many volunteers...
Beyond the planning, seeking and preparing volunteers, sending out fundraising letters etc..., we are thankful from the feedback, that God used the program to build and encourage many of the young people in their walk with Him and also to stimulate healthy friendships.

One of the boys was part of our Summer Program 2024
We continue to visit the boys from the Juvenal Centre with the goal of building healthy connections with them and sowing seeds for life.
This summer we requested and obtained from the new management of the centre the participation of one of the boys to our Summer Program. As in the past this was a great success as the young man integrated well despite being a little overwhelmed by all the attention from the other camp participants.
Kids Club children take a ride for the 1st time in the new bus
We are so grateful for all who gave to make this a reality!
The Mini Bus arrived and was cleared without too many problems. Thanks to your prayers some tax exemptions were obtained from the government.
There was not too much pressure paying the remaining VAT and other minor taxes accounting to about 22%.
God demonstrated His faithfulness through your generosity, He showed us that even when our faith is limited He will multiply the little we have beyond our expectations.
The vehicle is a brand new 14 seater Toyota Hiace, with a lot of new features that we are still learning. We are currently making some adjustments to facilitate the maintenance such as covering the fabric seats and mats with water proof materials ...
Asaph is presently almost one month in his new school year (8th grade). Guy, Asaph's home site teacher most of the time and Marylin some of the time. We constantly need God's guidance to help him in all the process of his schooling .
We pray that God will see him through with his homework assignments and others.
He continues to follow the Abeka academy curriculum online. Pray also that he will remain focused and grow in his personal relationship with the Lord.
Praise God with us for :

1- Our Summer Program participants that will continue His work in their lives as we connect to followup with them through out the year.
2- Asaph As he started his new school year of learning online; that he will be focus and stay away from online distractions. We need wisdom as parents to be able to effectively guide him.
3- The provision of a permanent facility dedicated to the ministry of YWAM St. Lucia remains high on the needs list. The arrival of our new bus reminded us that God is faithful and He will act in due time!
