Happy New Year 2023

January 11, 2023

Happy New Year friends and family,

As we enter 2023, I received a picture of an athlete competing in a hurdle race…

He doesn’t stop for each hurdle but he runs and jumps over each one to finish the race. There are many hurdles in this life that we will have to overcome but with God we can surely jump over each one successfully and finish the race strong!

For some of us, at this time there are hurdles in front of us… but I believe God wants us to know that He will give us the strength, endurance and fortitude to be able to jump over every one of them. I encourage each of us to put our total confidence in Jesus Christ the Saviour. Allow Him to navigate the ship of our lives and He will bring us to a safe habour. Let us not give up or lose hope but allow Him to carry us through the hurdles of this life.

( Hebrews 12:1;1 Corinthians 9:25-26; Isaiah 40:31; James 1:12)

As we go into a New Year with New Opportunities, A renewed Vision and Dreams, we want to wish you God’s guidance in every step you take, His wisdom in every decision you make and may His voice and His Holy Word direct your life.

Thank you for your love and support and for allowing God to use you to bless our lives and this ministry.

We are so thankful for the way that God has been watching over us, we are grateful for the little ways that He lets us know that He has not and will never abandon us.

We are truly grateful to all the wonderful people who gave towards the Christmas Cookies Treat to service men and women. It was such a blessing to see how touched the service men were as the children blessed them by singing, expressing words of gratitude for their service. One police officer said that he has been a police man for almost 30 years and this is the first time that he has seen this happen. He was so thankful…. He also advise the children on how to behave in the society. The firemen gave them a demonstration of how to use the fire hose and a few of our children took to the challenge of supporting the massive fire hose!

We were also able to stop by the Children’s Home which is a small orphanage in the North.  The children were outside playing but gladly stopped to receive some delicious home made cookies. What a blessing to be able to help put a smile on their faces.

PRAYER POINTS:

Please pray with us for:

- A vehicle : As you may know the base van is immobilized for the past 3 months or so with a serious  issue and requires a heavy repair if we have to keep it.  A sum of more than US$ 1500 could be required to fix it in addition to the many other expenses done in the past year due to small recurring parts failure. We need God's provision for a new vehicle as soon as possible. Please pray with us. Thanks for those who have started considering this. Without a vehicle many of our ministries are made more difficult.

- Family: - please pray that Asaph will continue to persevere in his school work; praise God he was able to reach the goal set for last term. Pray for our family and marriage;  that we will continually be living examples to those around us.

PRAISE REPORT

We are thankful for the grace of God and protection through the year 2022. Despite a few challenges the Lord kept us in overall good health, provided for our vital needs.

He helped us grow closer to him while continuing to develop programs such as the online Inductive Bible Study, the Children Ministry - weekly Kid's and Youth Club as well as the Juvenile Centre Program, strengthening and impacting lives.

Many Prayer Stations where organized with YWAM volunteers and some local churches that have started showing interest. We got a few rabbits (14) and vegetables from our base garden. A Prayer Luncheon  was successfully organized to help raise some much needed funds. Our weekly Wednesday Intercession was held throughout the year.
