Dear Friends,
“You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19, MSG)

Asaph during the Prayer Luncheon
This months of May marks one of the most significant birthday for Asaph as he turn 13. Much taller than his mum a deeper voice, a new and accentuated tendency to try to understand the reason behind everything just to mention a few features of our new version of Asaph.
He completed 7th grade and will be starting 8th grade in the coming months. Some aspect of his personality are becoming obvious.
We are praising God for the young man that he is becoming and pray that the Lord will guide him through this season of his life.

A Team Member had a Birthday
Our Base and the Nation of Saint Lucia was blessed by the visit of a church team from Jacksonville, led by their missions pastor who is also one of the leaders of YWAM Jacksonville, Mark B .
With them we ran Prayer Stations in Castries, helped with soup kitchen to the needy with the Salvation Army, visit the boys at the Juvenal Centre and assisted CEF with ministry in a public school. It was a short but greatly effective time. Despite the initial challenge to find a housing facility near the base and daily transportation, God showed himself once more faithful. We pray that the Lord will bless each member of the team as much as they were a blessing to this Nation, our ywam base and our family.

Prayer Table
Once again we saw God's Faithfulness and we are thankful. Last April He provided for us to attend the YWAM Caribbean Regional Gathering coupled with The Cunningham Legacy Tour both in Orlando. These two conferences were a source of encouragement and reminded us to look at how we face challenging times and leave a legacy.
God demonstrated to us through the generosity of His people that even when our faith is limited He is able to look deep within our hearts and do what is necessary. From our tickets to the hotel, He provided everything! We met many friends from the Region and discussed many possibilities to work together

Asaph Birthday
We got to visit and spend some quality time with our friend Vic who lost his wife Doris. We also got to relax and spend some time with our friend Elizabeth and her parents Papa Paul and Mama Carol in Illinois. It was especially fun for Asaph as he had some friends to catch up with; the family threw an early birthday party for him, what fun… he also got to attend a youth group meeting with other friends he met on our last visit. The weather was quite nice… ==>
The Goodness of God
On our way back home we had a long lay over in Charlotte, NC. Praise God the airline put us up in a hotel and provided for meals and transportation for us at no extra cost. A better deal than spending the night on an airport chair👍🏾🙏🏾 Isn’t God good?!
The 80 +degrees weather hit us hard in the face as we arrived in St Lucia where we literally “hit the ground running“ with planning and organizing: Prayer Luncheon Fundraiser, Vehicle for YWAM, Summer Missions, Missions Trip to Brazil, attend one Day workshop with Every Home For Christ along with our other ministry responsibilities.

Great meal and time to Fellowship
We are thankful to God for our Board and friends of YWAM St Lucia for the successful organization of this Prayer Luncheon in May. We had a very large turnout, over 150 persons from various Christian denominations. It was a great time of fellowship and we are thankful for all those who participated in one way or another to make it possible, especially the management and staff of The Beacon Restaurant, St Lucia. The Prayer Luncheon is a time to take a meal together, sensitize partners and potential ones on the vision of YWAM Saint Lucia, pray and thank God for what He is doing through us but also listen to a keynote from a speaker. This year's keynote speaker was Joseph Zintseme, one of our board members. Thanks especially to all those who prayed for it both at home and abroad🙏🏾
Every year between July and early August is our Summer Mission Adventure for youth ages 13 to 25 (sometimes younger/older)
This year a Christian School from the US will bring in a group and we hope to recruit some local youth to make a program with 30 to 40 persons from
July 28th to August 7th 2024.
This is a time for the young people to learn some basic discipleship principles, serve the community, experience missions but also have fun with the many outings, community services and practical discipleship sessions.
Please pray with us for the participants and the move of the Holy Spirit in their mist.
Among the many Mission Builders who assisted us here in Saint Lucia, Vic and Doris have remained close many years after, partnering with the ministry and our family in many ways. We have had the opportunity to visit them a couple of time at their home in Illinois. When we saw Doris last Fall, we never imagined that it will be the last time on this earth. Doris left to be with the Lord in March 2024 and we want to express our condolence to Vic and her family.
May the exemplary life of Doris resonate in our hearts. Her faith anchored her journey, buoying her work as a mission builder at YWAM Saint Lucia and many other locations. Doris nurtured the world around her with unbound generosity and hospitality; a testament to her noble character. As we mourn, let's find solace in knowing she enriched countless lives, motivating us to live purposefully, echoing her spirit of selfless service.
Praise God for the generosity of both those we know and who God brought into our lives miraculously. We received enough funds to search for a Japanese mini-bus for the ministry. After many months of searching online dealers, working with a local agent and checking out many buses, we were able to make a choice (whoop, whoop). We have gone through the process and have now received from the company the notification that the process of shipping the vehicle to St. Lucia has started. Hallelujah!!!
We were told that it could take about 8-10 weeks for the vehicle to get to St Lucia 🙏🏾
Please join us in prayer in this regard, that the vehicle will get here sooner rather than later, (our prayer is that we will have it in time for the Summer Program which will commence on July 28, that everything will fall into place regarding the logistics of getting tax exemptions with the Government which would be a huge help!!!.
We extend our gratitude to you for standing with us in prayer, moral and financial support, encouraging words etc. We love and appreciate you and pray for God’s goodness to envelope you always!!!
Praise God With us for :
- The Minibus was purchased and it is on the way. Above is the actual photo of the 14 seater mini bus we are expecting. Practically new - Many prayed for this and God showed Himself faithful providing mightily through you, friends and ways we did not expect.
- Pray that the transfer from Japan to us in the coming few weeks will be safe . And that we will obtain the favor for expected exemptions and remaining registrations.
- Praise God for the last Prayer Luncheon in May, thanks for all the support. Many people heard about the work of YWAM and how they can partner with us.
- A New Volunteer,
Adbier Bermudez (from Venezuela ) who attended some of our past Mission Adventures is volunteering with us, assisting in various ways...
Please join us in prayer for:
1- The safe transfer of the mini bus to Saint Lucia
2- Favor for all administrative procedures to get it in.
3- For our Summer Program 2024, participants, volunteers/facilitators, and the move of God.
4- Missions trip to Brazil in June with a local church team: Marylin will be leading a short term team to Brazil in June. Pray for protection, cohesion and success in the missions venture.
5- Prayer for the provision of a permanent facility dedicated to the ministry of YWAM St. Lucia remains high on the needs list. We believe that God can go so far as to not only inspire donations towards a property but also inspire someone to offer what they have available for 'His work'. Noting is impossible with God!
Thank you for being a vital part of our journey. We appreciate your ongoing support and commitment whether through your prayers, finances... May God pour out His abundant blessings upon you and your loved ones in 2024 and beyond.
" Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations."
