A Summer With Adventures 2022

August 28, 2022

Dear friend we pray you are doing well…
Fourteen young people from Asaph 11 to a few 18 years olds joined us for the 10 day Summer Program that was organized this year. Initially a team from YWAM Guadeloupe was supposed to join us but due to uncertain health protocols they could not come. This year we trained two of the participants that were part of the program for the second or more to help in facilitating the program, helping in small groups discussions and more. The experience went on well in general.

- This summer we obtained the participation of one of the boys from the Juvenile centre to our program sponsored by the donation from one of you. The officials from the Centre and us hope to see more of such partnerships develop in the future.

On this photo, some of the young men from the Summer program came to give us a hand at the base 2 week after the program ended.

The Family

This summer, we were also approached to provide temporary custody of a 15 year old teenager who was having some family issues. We greatly appreciate your prayers as you can see some details on the prayers points in this update.

After nearly two months of vacation, Asaph is returning to school. As a very social young man it is always a challenge for him to reduce all his social interaction with new friends during the vacation to refocus on his school. We pray that God will continue to grant him more grace.

Football with the Boys

During the summer program we wanted to take the group to play a football match against the Boys from the Juvenile Centre but it was not possible because of a health situation at the centre the day planned. This was finally made possible two weeks after the program. Seeing some of the participants from the program come back to socialise and join other volunteers in a football match was such an encouragement for this ministry to the Boys at the centre who won us 10 goal to 9. Looking forward for our "revenge match”!

Need of Followup From kids to Young Adult

One of the participant in our summer program was one from the kids club who turned 14. How exciting it was to see a followup in what the Lord have been doing in his life for all this time.

Need for A Mini Bus

Our YWAM van besides regular maintenance is now coming up with complexe new parts failures requiring expensive repairs! This is without doubt a sign that it has gotten a little old and requires more and more repairs generating extra expenses for the ministry. Besides this fact, to pickup kids for our weekly kids club it has gotten small and challenging to drive for an hour without some kind of failure: radiator and other cooling system, windows mechanism, etc...

We are spending more time in the garage this year with the van than ever before. Please pray with us that God will provide us with a new minibus for the ministry ASAP.

Kids and Youth's Club : This Saturday we had over 25 Kids and Teenagers some of whom were from the Girl centre

Praise ReportsπŸ™‚

praise God with us:

For the new fridge we finally purchased, a well needed fridge for the family in absense of any for the base. Thanks for your generosity in giving toward this.

For His direction, protection and work in the lives of all the 2022 Summer Missions Adventure participants. We saw some commit their lives to let Jesus be their Saviour and Lord. Pray also to see their flame for God increase while they learn to do their ‘Quiet Time’; and in sharing what Jesus has done in their lives.

For the many 'God Sent' volunteers who came to help us and make this 2022 Summer Program a reality. We thank God for their obedience to the Holy Spirit.

New ParagraphPrayer Points πŸ™πŸΎ

Pray with us:

πŸ™πŸΎ For the provision of a 14 or 16 seater bus. We believe that the cost is not beyond what Jehovah Jaireh can do (about 50 thousand Dollars πŸ’΅).
πŸ™πŸΎ For
Our fourteen participants to this year summer program; that the Lord will help them use what they received during the 10 day program to build their discipleship life.

πŸ™πŸΎ That the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the Life of the Boy from the Juvenile Centre who took part in our program this year and remind him of the principles he learned from the word of God… That such partnership will continue and be fruitful.

πŸ™πŸΎ Pray for the teenager we have been providing temporary custody to; The time requested was completed but due to some more complications she is still staying with us. She could not travel back to her home country yet. Pray that she will learn from her experience and better her relationship with God and her family. That all will fall in place as she needs to resume school etc… For Wisdom and God's direction for us in all this...

πŸ™πŸΎ we are grateful that God has been sending us volunteers to assist in various ministry from time to time; Continue to pray with us for long termcommitments and staff.New Paragraph
