THE FAMILY 🧐

Taking a month or so break this Fall possibly as a family is something we are seriously considering; during which we are hoping to be able to mobilize and/or raise some funds for some personal/family needs. Pray that God will open the right doors and contacts.

Asaph turned 11 last month, and is completing his last grade 5 assignments this week. He loves Maths and Sciences despite his artistic skills, but he is not too fond of school homework; understandable as this seems to him as a continuation of school since he is doing his Abeka Academy school online from home. Praying to be able to register him in some more outdoor activities.

Kids Clubs

Imparting Godly Principles to children can yield more than a life time fruit, it is an eternal investment. At a time when our society in Saint Lucia and the Caribbean in general is going through some tough challenges, and is in need more than ever before of reference points. We see children as blank exercise books waiting to be written in.

What we write in stays, and they can go back to it when things get confusing.

We need more laborers and transportation to pickup and mobilize these largely un-churched children and teenagers for instructive activities and after school programs. Please pray and consider how to join us in the venture.

Two sessions weekly

Challenging participants to learn to Observe - Interpret - and Apply the scriptures book by book and to our lives week after week, that is our goal in these virtual sessions where we place more emphasis on questions, feedback, participation than on lecturing. For the past month in the book of Titus we have been learning our responsibility as leaders and believers to live and model the Word of God in our midst and within the society / community where God placed us. Because “...the Grace of God has appeared, Bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, Upright and Godly lives in the present age…" (Titus 2:11-12).

We have resumed Prayer station in Castries but are still facing the challenges of volunteers available to assist us in this ministry. We are now offering some of the persons who request prayers to meet us in virtual meetings if they show interest to such followup.

Visiting the Centre on weekends as long as the they are open to outside visitors have become part of our weekly routine. One of the volunteers made the remark that we must be thankful to God for the grace to be able to consistently go to interact with the boys. This was because anyone need a special dose of patience, grace and charity to keep it up; we know this can only come from God. To visit the Boys once in a while is one thing, but to be able to go week after week and experience some of their stressing difficult days and down-time with them is a different story.

We pray that God will continue to reassure these boy and help them see that He cares for them despite some of the mistakes they make or may have done or even some neglect they may have suffer from family. Although all volunteers are appreciated, we know that males who can model "Father Figures" in their lives will be of greater help.
